Tuesday, December 11, 2007 today was quite an interesting day. Anyway i was bored at night as there nothing for me to do. So i decided to nudge random people to ask them what should i like do. So i began to disturb those with a good threshold for nonsense. So first i started on wei xuan. After being nudge for a few times and being disconnected from B.net,he finally gave me a solution to my boredom. "You like comedies right?" He replied in a state of frustration. "Go Change channel to Channel 5 at 8.30pm.Down there got some very funny show." So i decided to heed his advice and true enough,there was something with a potential to entertain me. It was the semi final soccer clash between Singapore and Thailand. I usually find Matches involving Singapore more entertaining than that of the Western Clubs and soccer associations. Even though the Singapore matches were not as exciting as that of matches between clubs like,for instance, Arsenal and Chlesea,Singaporean matches are still more enjoyable. It is more fun to watch as i enjoy the way singapore play.It is neither aggresive nor professional,yet it is very funny to observe the antics of singaporean players against the might of formidable foreign teams,such as Liao Ning Guan Yuan,the Super Reds or the late Sporting Afrique. So after watching the singaporean players sing an "out-of-tune" rendition of our national anthem,i clapped my hands in anticipation of a Thai Victory. Singapore was going to concede almost certain defeat. It was not the great nation team that had defeated or drawed with the Chinese,Iranians,Kuwaitis.That team was somewhere else.The team that was facing Thailand tonight was the Under 23 team,a greenhorn that has yet to tread the grounds of the international soccer realms. And the opponents they were facing was not Malaysia,Indonesia but Thailand. Thailand is one of the most formidable team that Singapore has faced. And as i am typing this,Thailand has scored a goal against Singapore at 9.06pm,22.30 minutes from the start of the match,proving my point. so anyway i expect the game to end at 2:0 in Thailand's favour. Or maybe it willl be 3:1 in the favour of the land of a thousand smiles. Anyway singapore will face certain defeat. I was also entertained my the way the commentor pronounced the names of the Thai players. People always say to me. "England has Beckham,Rooney and Lampard.Germany has Ballack and Kahn.What does Singapore have?" Then i would usually say:"Singapore have Noh Alam Shah,Agu Casmir and Amri." Anyway that was meant to be a joke,a cold joke. So after the match which ended in a : in Thailand's favour,i decided to watch a horror movie on Youtube. LOST at 8:45 PM
